Greenhouse Project Press Release – 9/2011
Cornucopia is excited to announce it will be opening its greenhouse in the South Valley within the next year. The greenhouse will benefit the community with produce sales while allowing Cornucopia’s clients to experience self-sufficiency and importance of community. A ground breaking ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 29, 2011 in conjunction with their annual Matanza Cook-Off.
The vision of a greenhouse began in the early 1990’s with a small donation for “Tina’s Greenhouse”. With the significant recent financial turnaround of the organization and a grant for $37,000 from the C.O.E. Foundation, the greenhouse is a reality.
